Wow, its been a long time since I updated this page.  Gig wise I have been pretty quiet, although I was very happy to play at the 1 in 12 Club 30th Anniversary of the building with some great bands, solo musicians.  I have some gigs coming up in June with Italian acoustic punker Gab De La Vega, which will be cool!

Other than that I have been trying to get some practices in with Brain Anguish, the band I am playing in with Angus (Sedition).  Its a slow moving train due to distance between us and and trying to find time to fit stuff in. However, we do hope to be gigging by the end of this year.  We do have some stuff available on Bandcamp that you can listen to here

Other news is that I will be playing some gigs in August with my old band Quarantine.  I’m really looking forward to these gigs and it was great being back in the studio with Tracey, playing music together after 20+ years. There are only 2 gigs planned and its likely this wont be repeated any time soon. So if you want to see us play live you better get yourself along.  The gigs are

Wed 22nd August – Glasgow, Nice N Sleazy w/ Bratakus and more TBC

Sat 25th August – Berlin (venue TBC) w/ Unkind (Fin), Limp Blitzkreig (Pol) & Drip of Lies (Pol)

That’s about it for now!

First gig of 2017 will be at the Banshee Labyrinth, Edinburgh on 17th Feb with The Disturbed, Subvision and Kingpin

I also got to find movie fame by having a cameo on the Bratakus / Active Minds tour diary from Sept 2016.  You can see it here.  Its well worth a watch (not for me of course)

Well that’s pretty much it for 2016.  Last gig of the year was at BYAF X in Dundee and it was great festival with a great friendly atmosphere.  Nothing definite booked for 2017 yet, but planning to get back over to mainland Europe sometime in the spring and another trip to Gran Canaria is already on the cards.

Until then I’ll leave you with the below review in Louder Than War of The Triads of Impairment Part III – Interaction.  Cheers for now

Brian Curran: The Triad of Impairments part 3 – Interaction – LP review

It’s been a while since I checked in.  I had a pretty good summer up in Orkney with the family and now i’m back doing music.  Played a couple of gigs in Glasgow, Aberdeen and Edinburgh with Bratakus, Active Minds & Thisclose in September and managed to play with Louise Distras in October, so all in all been a pretty good couple of months.

I now have enough songs written to begin recording a new LP.  I’m not in any sort of rush to get it out, but I’m pretty happy with the way the new songs are sounding.

Only a couple of gigs coming up, one in Nottingham in 19th November and Book Yer Ane Fest in Dundee during December.  Other that I’m always on the look out for more gigs, so do get n touch if you think you’d be able to organise something for me.

Its been pretty busy domestic times at the Curran household, which means there hasn’t been much time for gigs.  However,  I did manage to play at the Class War Anarcho gathering at the Re-Tune project, which was pretty cool (the sun was even out).  I also played Bannerman’s Edinburgh as part of the 10 years of punk ruined my life fest.

Gran Canaria and Tenerife were great as always and thanks to Jose, Adrian and Santi for organising, giving me a place to stay, showing me around the islands etc.

Holiday time in July, so I’m penciling in some gigs for September and a trip down south in August.  I’ll update this when things become more concrete around that.

Ok, so I managed to get back from Manchester in the early hours after not much sleep at all.  I had a great time playing at 0161 Festival and I got to see some great people play and catch up with some old friends.

Next up i’m playong at Nice N Sleazy on 7th May (check gig page for more info) and then i’ll be heading off to Gran Canaria / Tenerife to do some gigs with Abuela Muerte and Fajardo respectively

21May16 Gran Canaria gig

After that I have some gigs coming up in June, holiday in July and who knows after that.  Always open to offers.
